Safer Highways Member, Mace, donates to support the people of Ukriane with £5,000 company donation and a pledge to match any donations from employees.
Safer Highways member, Mace, have pledged their support for the Ukrainian people during the current invasion by setting up a Just Giving site with the aim of providing support to the beleaguered people of the Ukraine.
In a social media post, the organisation said,
"Mace stands with the people of Ukraine following Russia’s invasion and continuing violation of international laws. People are losing their homes and lives; families are being separated. Essential services, like water and healthcare, are under threat.
Mace do not currently work in either Ukraine or Russia. However, like many organisations in the construction sector, we are keenly aware that many of our colleagues and people working on our projects will be directly affected by this crisis, and we’re working hard to ensure that those people are supported and have access to the resources they need.
The Mace Foundation has made a £5,000 donation to the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal and is match funding another £5,000 of donations from Mace colleagues and supply chain partners. So far together we’ve raised more than £15,000 which will go directly to help people in the region impacted by this crisis.

"As the security situation allows, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will continue to respond to existing and emerging humanitarian needs. The Red Cross has supported people affected by this conflict for years and this will not stop now.
"Your donation could help someone affected get: food, water, first aid, medicines, warm clothes and shelter."
