Kier, a leading provider of construction and infrastructure services, has this week launched a new campaign designed to inspire those looking to start or switch careers.
I’m proud is an employee-led social media campaign that highlights the variety of roles available at Kier and the difference these make to communities across the UK. Colleagues across Kier were given the opportunity to take part in the campaign, sharing one line about why they are proud of what they do, the difference they make to clients and communities as well as reflections on what it’s like to work for Kier.
Kier employees from across the Group have shared their reasons on social media; from project directors to environmental managers and social value coordinators as well as those working in finance, procurement and HR. Joe Incutti, group managing director for Kier Highways, said: “I’m proud to be part of such a great team that inspires me every day by continuously developing new ideas which benefit our people, our customers and the communities we work in.” Carrie-Ann Dring, Group communications and marketing manager at Kier, said: “I’m proud to work for a company that empowered me to help build its pregnancy loss policy.”
Helen Redfern, group HR director at Kier, adds: "There are so many reasons why people choose a career in construction and so we asked colleagues across Kier what their reason is. Each one is unique and some of these reasons may resonate with those looking to start or switch careers, and it's my hope that through the voices of my colleagues we go some way to dispelling myths, attracting new talent and showing that a career in construction has a lot to offer."
