Keltbray Holdings Limited, the UK’s leading specialist engineering and construction solutions company, has successfully completed the BSI audit against requirements of PAS 2080, satisfying each clause without any non-conformities and was recommended positively for certification.
PAS 2080 is a standard for managing carbon in building and infrastructure.
The PAS 2080 verification audit looks at the entirety of the value chain and aims to reduce carbon and cost through intelligent design, construction, and use.
PAS 2080 is a key reference document in the UK government’s Construction Playbook. Launched late 2020, the construction playbook set the industry standard for specification detailing carbon management within the built environment.
“Achieving BSI PAS 2080 certification was made possible due to our proactive teams across the Keltbray group and the strength of our carbon reporting processes. We were able to display many great operational examples across the group in 2022 during the audit.
Using drones instead of helicopters, integrating the circular economy model amongst key projects, introducing telemetry to review and reduce fuel consumption, trialling hydrogen power generation and incorporating HIPER Pile into our projects. These are all excellent examples which reduce direct and indirect emissions.”
Kiro Tamer, Head of Environmental Sustainability, Keltbray
Only a handful of companies in the construction and infrastructure sectors currently hold this certification, with Keltbray now one of them.
