Industry’s premier awards ceremony unveils this year’s voice of god as a celebrity – you may not recognise.
One week before entries open for this year’s Highways Heroes awards the organisers have unveiled a small but important element to this year’s event, our voice of god, as Marcus Bentley, the voice of Big Brother.
Having spent over 10 years as the iconic voice behind the Big Brother franchise in the UK, Marcus is an acclaimed voice over artist and instantly recognisable.
Climaxing in a glittering awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House, by JW Marriott, on 7th December 2022, the Highways Heroes remains the only ceremony which truly recognises those unsung heroes in our sector.
Speaking about the announcement, co-founder, Freya Wells, said,
“Last year, the Highways Heroes, became a ground-breaking event which recognised the unsung heroes across the highways sector,
“This year we want to push the envelope even further and make the grand finale even bigger and better than ever.
“In order to do this we have strived to recruit the biggest and best names to make the night one to remember for the whole of our sector.
"I am delighted Marcus Bentley has not only agreed to voice our event but also bought into the ethos of what our awards seek to achieve."
Nominations will open next Tuesday, 9th May, and close on 31st August 2022 so there isn't much time to get your thinking caps on for the nominations so we urge you to act sooner rather than later if you feel you know somebody who should be recognised.
The Highways Heroes Awards come after a time of unprecedented change not only in our industry, but as part of our everyday lives.
We believe this is the ideal time to celebrate the hard work and success of our workers, who have coped admirably in the face of adversity, to recognise the heroic actions of them which, until now, has gone unnoticed.
