Highways Heroes Awards offer sneak peek behind the curtains of next weeks event

With just a week to go until this year's Highways Heroes Awards the organisers of the event have released a short 3 minute teaser of what to expect on the night.

The video, featuring Vesper, a four piece string quartet like no other and who are the final performers on the evening, also gives viewers of the clip a first look at the graphics and animations designed bespoke each year for the ceremony.

Supported by both National Highways and Transport Scotland, the awards are the first time the supply chain and the client body have come together to recognise the value and importance of those unsung heroes we put to work everyday.

Taking place on the 2nd December at the QEII convention centre in Westminster the event will be a celebration of those individuals who have gone over and above their job role and really made a difference to their peers and members of the public.

Speaking about the event, which sold out in a record 3 minutes, Freya Wells, Chief Operating Officer for Safer Highways, said,

"These awards are something which for me, and the rest of the senior leadership team, have been a labour of love.

"We have tried our utmost to do everything to the highest possible standard and to put on an evening which truly befits the achievements of those shortlisted and not just the winners.

"From food and wine selections to lighting, graphics and entertainment we genuinely believe we have done this.

"For all of those shortlisted, I look forward to welcoming you next week to the QEII centre for what promises to be a truly spectacular night."

The Highways Heroes awards are entry by ticket only with no further allocation available.

For those who were unable to purchase tickets for the event, the organisers will be releasing a highlights video in the days after the ceremony.
