Galliford Try’s Environment and Asset Intelligence businesses were both winners at this year’s Water Industry and British Security awards, respectively.
The Environment team scooped 'Contractor of the Year' at the Water Industry Awards, organised by Utility Week Innovate, following recognition for the significant strides the business has made within the last 12 months, including the highly successful acquisition and integration of the nmcn water business. The business also claimed praise as finalists in the categories of 'Digitalisation Project of the Year', 'Partnership of the Year' and 'Customer Initiative of the Year'.
Galliford Try’s Asset Intelligence business, meanwhile, claimed 'Environmental Project of the Year' at the British Security Awards, for its work with the Met Office, as well as being shortlisted for 'Best Business' and 'Best Installer'.
The awards, organised by the British Security Industry Association celebrate the achievements, acts of bravery and innovations made by members of the UK’s security industry.
Finally, at the Scottish Design Awards, Morrison Construction’s University of Edinburgh’s Health and Wellbeing Centre and Calderwood Primary School received the titles of 'Highly Commended' in the Health and Education Project of the Year categories, respectively.
Bill Hocking, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, commented: “This was a fantastic night for Galliford Try, earning the coveted title of Contractor of the Year, as one of the biggest players in the water sector. I am delighted that our hard-working teams and partners have been recognised for their excellence in this way at these important award ceremonies.
You I congratulate all our finalists, winners and all involved for their well-deserved success across these areas so crucial to our Sustainable Growth Strategy.”
