Galliford Try rebrands security and fire arm after nmcn deal

Galliford Try has rebranded its security and active fire business as Asset Intelligence following the acquisition of nmcn’s water and asset security division.

Galliford Try acquired nmcn’s water division out of administration late last year for £1m saving 900 jobs.

The deal saw 50 specialist security designers, installers, commissioning specialists and management join Galliford Try’s existing security construction team.

Galliford Try’s combined security and active fire disciplines now work as a single streamlined business, under the leadership of Managing Director Uzair Osman with a newly-appointed Senior Leadership Team.

The move reflects the shift to digital transformation in security and fire disciplines, with the business pursuing a technology driven approach that utilises Web3 and artificial intelligence.

Galliford Try Asset Intelligence will provide expert security and active fire solutions direct to national infrastructure and high-value assets within the built environment.

Osman said: “We have brought together a strong and focused leadership team and combined Physical, Electronic and Active Fire Security interests into a single market-facing business, positioned to work collaboratively with our clients to drive value and quality to new levels.

“The security of UK assets is under increasing scrutiny and Galliford Try is positioned to support asset owners and operators as a single point of support for designing, developing installing and integrating high quality security solutions across client estates.

“We look forward to playing a major role within the future of the UK security industry, building on a heritage of construction and engineering in secure environments.”
