Galliford Try announced as principal sponsor of SH Awards

Safer Highways is pleased to announce that the principal sponsor of this years SH Awards is Galliford Try Highways.

Safer Highways, organisers of SHL!ve, is proud to announce that the principal sponsor for this year's SHAwards will be Galliford Try Highways. Celebrating excellence amongst our peers in the sector the SH Awards will be one of the first occasions where we, as an industry can come together in this post Covid-19 new world. Taking place on the 15th December at the renowned Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre in London, our awards are still the only peer voted recognition across the sector, essentially recognising excellence in a truly democratic way, voted for by the industry. Never before has there been an awards scheme dedicated to recognising best practice, innovation and thought leadership in health, safety and wellbeing - voted for by our colleagues. The SHAwards brings together the whole of the health, safety and wellbeing sector as a platform for recognition for those dedicated to improving the lives of road workers and road users.  Kevin Robinson, Chief Executive of Safer Highways, said:

"The SHAwards take the whole purpose of why Safer Highways was set up in the first place to a different level. This is a real opportunity to recognise and share all the hard work, effort, investment, resources that the health, safety and wellbeing sector and the wider highways industry puts into making the lives of road workers and road users safer, healthier and more efficient and effective. Covid-19 has had a significant and profound effect on not our sector but society as a whole and our desire as that we end the year on a high. This is the ideal place to share and collaborate best practice in this sector and reward those that have done this to the highest of standards and this is one of the many reasons why I am proud to relaunch these awards.” "Inside just one week since our relaunch we have seen a massive amount of entries proving that there is still a real appetite to recognise and celebrate."
