Leading infrastructure services company FM Conway has secured a place on Lot 2 of the Highways Schemes and Planned Maintenance Framework for the London Borough of Newham.
The NEC4 framework contract, valued at £100m, is due to start in February 2022 and is set to run for four years.
The scope of works will include the implementation of highway schemes and planned maintenance activities including carriageways, footways, soft landscaping, street furniture and electrical street lighting equipment.
The framework will support a number of regeneration schemes across Newham’s 419km public highway and will aim to deliver environmentally sustainable solutions to build on the borough’s Community Wealth Building agenda.
Work orders on the framework are divided between two lots with FM Conway set to operate on Lot 2 which covers work packages over £150,000.
The contract award means that FM Conway will continue to build on its long-term relationship with Newham after over a decade of working together.
James Tallon, Managing Director at FM Conway, commented on the new contract:
“We are delighted that we can continue to build on our great partnership with the London Borough of Newham and look forward to delivering highways improvements to support the council’s ambitious regeneration plans.
