Dott, a leading European micro-mobility company, today launches its brand new e-bikes in London, with the first vehicles now available and ready to unlock new experiences for riders.
Initially available throughout Hammersmith and Fulham, over 250 e-bikes will be in operation, providing a new way to help people get around and making it easier to choose environmentally friendly travel, whether for a whole journey or combined with public transport during longer journeys.
In a unique partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham’s Sobus, special discounts, free trips and training sessions will be available to support voluntary and community sector organisations with getting to the places that need them.
To coincide with the new e-bikes arriving on the streets of Hammersmith and Fulham, a training session will take place at the junction of King Street and Beavor Lane, W6 9QF, UK. 15 e-bikes will be available between 11:00-15:00 on Wednesday 23rd March for people to try for free. The 15 minute sessions are designed to familiarise new users with the vehicles in a safe space, as well as taking them to the streets to ride amongst other road users. Participants will be offered helmets to encourage safe riding.
Dott’s e-bikes have been designed to unlock cities, helping more people travel in the most efficient way. Free from the restrictions of traffic, and without causing pollution, e-bikes provide an enjoyable way to take in the sights of the city whilst moving around in the open air. The distinctive design, fitted with lights, reflectors and a basket has been created to provide a safe and comfortable journey that improves upon the familiar experience of riding a bike.

With speeds up to 25kph, Dott’s e-bikes make an efficient transport choice. Parking will be permitted in allocated marked and virtual bays providing more flexibility for riders to easily find a vehicle and finish their ride close to their destination.
Competitive e-bike pricing will be just £0.17 per km with a £1 unlock fee per journey, and passes are available to reduce costs for regular riders.
The launch in London is the latest for Dott, which already operates its e-bikes in Paris, Brussels, Rome, Milan and Cologne among others, as Dott expands its operations beyond e-scooters to encourage more people to switch to sustainable travel.
Dott’s e-bikes will be operated using the same model as its existing fleet of e-scooters. Repairs, maintenance and logistics will be handled in-house by specialists at Dott’s warehouses, ensuring safety, reliability and quality. Vehicles are built to last and repaired where necessary, and any parts that cannot be reused are recycled.
The environment and social impact are at the heart of every business decision at Dott. The micro-mobility company is working to reuse, upcycle or recycle 100% of used vehicles and parts, and aims to exceed a five year life-span for its vehicles. Dott is targeting a 100% electric logistics fleet and renewable energy in all its cities. The service is designed to be as accessible as possible, and Dott works closely with local communities, aiming for equal coverage across the areas it serves and partnering with local organizations to help improve the cities in which it operates.
